*Position:    Sr. Systems Engineer - Desktop*

*Location:    **Eagan, MN*

*Duration:    6+ months*

*Face to face interview required*



*Required Skills: Needs to have experience with Lotus Notes to Exchange
migrations. This candidate will be the SME for this migration *

*Responsibilities Summary*

This is a third level support role on a desktop engineering team. Support
requirements include troubleshooting application, workstation OS, desktop
infrastructure platforms (McAfee), SCCM (troubleshooting application
deployments and patch deployments), supporting IBM administration, and
generally assisting the engineering team in all other work.



*Education*

·         Bachelor's in MIS, CIS, or relevant experience

·         MCSE preferred



*Qualifications*

1.     7+ years of technical experience in engineering, integration and
support of desktop technologies including hardware, software, SCCM 2007/12,
Active Directory, and Group Policy.

2.     Expert knowledge of Windows XP and Windows 7 (in all areas build,
deploy, support), Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer (and its related
security policies), and a working understanding of the Lotus Notes email
client.

3.     Strong application packaging skills utilizing Powershell v2,
VBScript, and Installshield Editor/Tuner with goal of producing single
package (wrapped installed) that can install all required prerequisites on
all supported operating systems with the required post install
configuration.

4.     Prior leadership experience, preferably in a team driven technical
environment.

5.     Understanding of LAN/WAN network technologies and mobile computing
environments.

6.     Experience supporting mobile and wireless devices.

7.     Demonstrated project management experience including large-scale or
enterprise deployments

8.     Experience supporting Virtualization technologies such as VMware
Workstation, VMware View, and Citrix Provisioning Server.

9.     Proven competence in business, information, application, and
technology components of enterprise engineering; strong systems analysis,
analytical problem solving skills

10.  Extensive knowledge of desktop imaging (SCCM), software architecture,
and network design principles

11.  Experience with Thin Client technologies such as Wyse and Windows
Embedded

12.  Experience working in a geographically distributed, challenging IT
environment; ability to build and maintain relationships remotely and
across organizations.

13.  Strong communication and conflict management skills and ability to
work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a larger team.

14.  Demonstrates sound judgment and decision-making skills, ability to
juggle multiple competing priorities, and ability to work under deadline
demands; strong facilitation, negotiation and consensus building skills

15.  Ability to understand and relate product technology, strategy and
direction with business needs.

16.  Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

17.  High degree of technical aptitude and a passion to learn new
technologies. Ability to quickly grasp and understand technical problems
and concepts and apply this knowledge

18.  Strong focus and commitment to customer satisfaction.
