Role: Developer BI- Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services Reports Position: 3+ months Location: Houston, TX (14405 Walters Road) Mode of interview: phone then onsite No H1-B Develop, enhance and maintain integrity of development solutions based on defined requirements. Work effectively with others to create solutions and to support and enhance Walter methodology. Primary responsibility will be in development of operational and client reporting. 1. Lead implementation of Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services Reports 2. Develop application solutions 3. Work with Business Analysts and customers to understand and validate end-user requirements in accordance with business need 4. Create and document technical designs to achieve project requirements 5. Complete development/programming as described in design specifications 6. Prepare unit test plans and execute unit testing 7. Participate in system and user acceptance testing tasks as assigned 8. Adhere to Walter software development methodology and standards and accepted internal development stand 9. Provide end-user support for assigned applications (includes some on-call support during non-business hours) 10. Modify, enhance and maintain applications as required 11. Maintain integrity of applications, follow standards 12. Investigate and resolve system problems in a timely manner 13. Update system documentation as needed 14. Develop strong relationships with partners and end-users that allow work to move forward with a common understanding 15. Mentor other developers with respect to development best practices and new technologies. 1. Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience to substitute for degree 2. 5 years in related field preferred 3. 5 years of Business Intelligence Software Development 4. 3 years experience with PL/SQL 5. 3 years experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or higher 6. 3 years in data mining / reporting and analytics 7. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 8.
