*6 months * *$52/-hr c2c* *Only GC and USC* *Must Haves:* • Demonstrated experience with NAC (Network Access Control) System tools, specifically ForeScout CounterAct and Enterprise Director. • Proven ability to create custom security policies and their implementation using NAC tools. • Ability to perform NAC system administration and network traffic analysis. • Familiarity with all layers of OSI model and network communication protocols and working knowledge of Cisco hardware. • Demonstrated experience with Splunk tools. • Familiarity with Cisco ASA Firewalls a plus. • Ability to configure routers and switches with appropriate network communication protocols and their implementation via network hardware and software. • Familiarity with Windows and Linux Operating systems including basic administration, communications and networking configurations. • Experience with either windows or Linux based scripting languages. (PowerShell/VBS or Python/Perl/Ruby/Bash) • CCNA or better certification will be a plus. • Good verbal and written communications skills. *Desired Skills:* • Ability to create technical documentation for user groups. • Help Desk experience at Tier 3 level. • Proficiency with Office tools including Visio. *Day to Day Responsibilities:* · The Network/ Security Engineer will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and integration of the Postal Service Mail Processing Network Infrastructure within postal processing facilities. This individual will also be responsible for implementation and administration of network security hardware and software, enforcing the network security policy and complying with requirements of external security audits and recommendations. Responsibilities include: · Central monitoring of 300+ NAC system installations nationwide. · Verification of NAC appliance status, software backups, patch levels and releases. · Liaison with NAC system vendor for technical and warranty support. · Create, test and implement network security policies using Network Access Control System (NAC) tools. · Analyze network traffic using NAC tools for improving network security. · Perform NAC system administration tasks. · Provide installation support and validation of NAC System deployment.
