Position Statement:
· Performs analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and
support of enterprise-scale systems to achieve or exceed the desired business
need.
· Reviews and assesses code for long term support, scalability and
maintenance cost of ownership.
· Implements best practice processes throughout the software development
lifecycle which adhere to company policies.
· Translate business requirements in the form of user stories and
acceptance criteria into working software modules.
· Will develop test fixtures to support development of regression test
scripts.
· Participate in system integration testing, and support of user
acceptance testing.
Essential Technical Capabilities (Required)
· 5+ years analysis and design
· 5+ years in debugging complex business applications
· 5+ years Java web application development experience
· 5+ years object oriented analysis and design skills experience
· Advanced understanding of J2EE Design Patterns
· Advanced understanding of relational database design
· 2+ years development using the SCRUM methodology
· Exposure to webservices
· JEE: EJB, JSP, Servlets, JDBC
· Struts and/or JSF
· JUnit
· UML
· HTML
· XML
· Javascript
· Eclipse
· xDoclet
· CVS or Subversion
· Oracle
· Desired Technical Skills (Nice to have):
· JBoss
· JBoss Seam framework
· 2+ years development using the Swing
Essential Professional Experience
· B.A or B.S Degree in Computer Science, Business or Related field
· 8+ years of professional experience in systems development teams.
· 5+ years of full life-cycle engagement in appropriate technologies for
mission critical systems.
· 5+ years experience of building effective working relationships and
communications channels within a large cross-functional team, including quality
engineers, product managers, business analysts, project managers, and support
analysts.
· 3+ years working with appropriate technologies in the context of 24x7
availability requirements
· Familiarity with leading various development methodologies (Agile, RUP,
Extreme, etc.)
