The goal of the CSx Pulse team is to: · Improve visibility to real-time customer service data and key operational metrics · Facilitate collaboration between Engineering, Customer Service, and Product Management · Foster real-time discussions and actions · Drive accelerated resolution velocity and overall Customer experience You will be responsible for designing SQL view definitions pointing to the customer service data (such as incidents and install base) in a production enterprise data warehouse and ensuring their correctness and performance. You will also work with other developers and database administrators optimizing SQL statements as necessary, minimizing impact to other applications sharing the data warehouse and establishing best practices. · Write and optimize SQL statements and visualize results · Ensure query correctness and performance · Prepare documentations · Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders *Qualifications:* *• Strong proficiency with SQL and analytics* *• 8+ years of working experience with databases* *• Skilled at optimizing large complicated SQL statements* *• Experience with data visualization tools such as Grafana and Tableau* *· Knowledge of best practices when dealing with databases* *· Capable of troubleshooting common database issues* *· Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git and SVN* - *Familiar with Agile Scrum development methodology* *Preferences:* · Experience with Teradata database technology · Experience with data warehouse or data lake engineering, configuring popular database engines and orchestrating clusters, planning resource requirements from high level specifications, developing ETL processes, tuning system performance, etc. - Experience with Hadoop administration and development *Work Environment:* This position is located in San Diego, CA.
