Role:Embedded Engineer

Location: Troy, MI

Duration:6+months

*Specific responsibilities of  Embedded Software Developer  include:*

·         Takes direction from the Software Systems Engineering Manager.

·         Responsible for the development some modules of the LGCPI Battery
Management System software, including integration of CAN databases.

·         Responsible for code construction, static analysis, unit testing
and peer reviews, and ensuring proper revision control of all work products

·         Support code integration of application and low level software,
code analysis, creation of release notes and release to the customer.

·         Support the design and development of builds, scripts,
installation procedures, and systems including source code control and
issue tracking.

·         Responsible for verification of functionality on desktop, bench
and pack.

·         Works independently to execute work plans, provide status updates
and adjust to changing requirements.

·         Participates in the Software Change Review Board, including
providing input and analysis and joining in the decision making process.

·         Develops design document, leads and supports design reviews.

·         Tracks and analyses software requirements changes.

·         Leads troubleshooting of software issues for both development and
production software releases, including troubleshooting software running on
electronics hardware, battery packs and vehicles.

·         Ensures revision management of work products

·         Supports Software Validation Team in reviewing validation test
procedures.





*Required Experience and Skills: *

·         Excellent verbal and written English

·         Minimum 5 years embedded software development in C and/or C++

·         Model based development in Matlab/Simulink

·         Good understanding of platform software and hardware abstraction
layer software.

·         Experience with Major automotive microprocessors (NXP preferred)

·         Automotive network data structures, protocols, - (e.g. FNOS, CAN,
J1939)

·         B.S in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent



*Desired Experience and Skills*

·         Ability to interface well with internal and external customers

·         Ability to work independently on a development team

·         Demonstrated history of delivering quality automotive/avionics
embedded software products to market

·         Structured software design and code development methods (e.g.
SPICE/CMMI) preferred
