(Flex more important than ColdFusion) • Either Contract Only or Contract to Hire. Initial contract term is 6 months. *Responsibilities:* • Take lead role in design, development, support, upgrade, maintenance, enhancement, and documentation of custom business applications. • Mentor junior developers with the Adobe technologies and best practices, including any frameworks utilized. • Work with DBA and other developers to design databases. Use Transact-SQL to write database stored procedure on MS SQL server 2005 / 2008. • Promote best practices and methodologies and draft technical documentation and workflow diagrams using Visio. • Conduct demonstration of software to business units and clearly explain features to the common users. • Maintain regular attendance, and report status to IS management. *Requirements:* • Degree or advanced degree in relevant major or equivalent experience. • Minimum *8 years of software design and development experience*. • Extensive knowledge and involvement in the analysis, design and development of custom business software, preferably in the insurance or financial industries. • Thorough knowledge of software development life cycle is required.
