The Client is looking for Technical Consultants (Systems Artichitects) to work in the area of VDI and Desktop Virtualization to assist with the implementation of a stateless virtual desktop architecture leveraging VMware vSphere 5, VMware View 5, VMware View Composer, and VMware ThinApp. The person(s) selected for this position must have demonstrated work experience of increasing responsibility for and delivery of desktop solutions and/or virtualization solutions with a track record of participating in and leading several successful technical implementations, technical upgrades, and migrations. The Technical Consultant will be working "hands on" and/or leading the technical aspects of the virtualization project. He or She will be responsible for implementing Virtual Desktop Infrastructure technologies and other related packaged solutions. In addition, the Technical Consultant will actively ensure accurate and on-time implementation of the project deliverables, and assist the Project Manager with project planning including iteration of the tasks involved in delivery, identification of key resources, timelines, and milestones. Requirements: 3+ years of experience, designing, implementing, and supporting VMware Infrastructure (VMware View 4.5 - 5.0, VMware vSphere 4.0/5.0, ThinApp) 3 + years of experience implementing and administering VMware View in a production environment 7+ years working with Microsoft server and server related products in large scale, mission critical, highly available, enterprise environments 5+ years of experience administrating Business applications running on Windows servers 3+ years of experience with Storage Area Networks (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) NetApp technologies 3+ years experience with hands on AD and GPO administration 3+ years Trend Micro anti-malware infrastructure and software leveraging VMware View Premier / vShield Endpoint functionality Microsoft Active Directory/Exchange /System Center experience/ certification a plus. Must have a good understanding of IP, VPNs, DHCP, DNS, SSL, PKI, network routing, firewalls and switching. CCNA, CCNP or CCSP Certified a plus Ability to prepare design documents, customer facing power points, technical reports and documentation as needed Implementation experience with or leading a project for the rollout of desktop upgrades Knowledge and experience with the LiquidWare Software and AppSense software tools Provide technical support identifying, troubleshooting and resolving issues with enterprise services. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong executive presence and ability to interact with top executives Successful teamwork experience & demonstrated leadership abilities Candidate will be expected to follow industry standard best practices and methodologies and provide knowledge transfer to other staff through both direct communication and formal documentation.
