Position: Java Architect

Location: Hartford, CT

Duration: 3 months

Rate: $65/hr



*Description: *

•           A single digital identity for all user authentication, contact
and preferences data and management

•           Common user interfaces for self-registration, login,
contact/preference administration, and a customer view that displays
registered products

•           Integration with gold-standard Line of Business systems for the
digital identity of a party

•           Support for multiple channels (Web, Mobile IVR etc.)



Java Architect must have strong foundation in software design and
development, J2EE framework, design patterns (especially MVC and SOA),
software architecture, object-oriented programming and technical leadership
and mentoring. And also, candidate must have prior experience in
architecting, designing and developing new frameworks using Java, J2EE.



*Description of Duties*

•           Review the high level requirements prepared by the business
analysts and help them in preparing the low level requirements / functional
specifications.

•           Reviews and identifies the gaps in proposed technical
architecture and play active role in finalizing the technical architectures

•           Works with the other architects and SMEs on the project and
defines and follows the design standards and best practices while designing
the framework.

•           Responsible for the detailed design documents such as sequence
and class diagrams for all services (end to end) and for providing the
estimates to build the framework based on the detailed design prepared
during the design phase



*Desired Skills & Experience*

•           Architecting and designing foundational frameworks to be used by
applications across the enterprise.

•           Developing / enabling Web Services that are SOA based to be used
by ESB technologies, based on J2EE technologies using SOAP.

•           Experience with completing design artifacts using UML

•           Experience with the Spring Framework 2.5

•           Experience in Web-Tier J2EE frameworks such as Struts and JSF

•           Experience with JavaScript and AJAX based UI frameworks

•           Experience with ORM or persistence frameworks

•           Experience with SA3 or Agile methodology

•           Excellent oral and written communication skills are needed
