Description: As a Senior application developer, you will be responsible for the design, development and unit test of our core back office application. Additionally, you will play a critical role during requirement, testing, and implementation phases. You will typically provide leadership to our off-shore teams when needed. You will work closely with your lead, architect, business partners and vendor to provide solutions to complex business requirements. Responsibilities: Work closely with development lead to understand requirements, architecture and frameworks. Active participation in design to provide solution that meets business requirements. Create technical design recommendations for developing and integrating programs per written specifications. Examine applications to ensure adherence to Application Engineering guidelines, processes and procedures. Utilize Java, proprietary workflow manager to design and develop robust applications that are scalable, maintainable and extensible. Test, modify, and implement application codes; make standard modifications to existing software applications and modules in accordance with high-level specifications, application support and industry standards. Engage third party suppliers on applications support issues. Qualifications: College degree in related technical or business area, specialized training and/or equivalent work experience Solid Java Development experience in coding, testing and debugging technique. Database development Strong SQL knowledge / Oracle experience (PL/SQL) Strong Data Modeling and Transaction management experience Experience in Java design patterns and J2EE design patterns. Strong integration experience including SOA, MQ, JMS, XML, and general data transformations. Build experience with Ant and Maven. Strong integration experience XML, WSDL, Web services and general data transformations. Good problem solving skills.
