*-IMMEDIATE NEED A CONSULTANT-* *Job Title:* Business System Analyst Must have 8+ years of experience *Location: Bay area, CA (Local or Nearby ) Duration: 12-24+ Month Contract* *Might be Face 2 Face required after phonic* Job Description: Provide overall leadership and coordination for the analysis and development of functional requirements Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, program intent, business analysis, task and workflow analysis, input and output requirements Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying business requirements. Proactively communicate and collaborate with customers and stakeholders to analyze information needs and functional requirements and produce documentary artifacts such as functional and business requirements, use cases, workflows, R2A2 matrices, requirements traceability matrices, high-level layouts for onscreen user interfaces, printed outputs, and interfaces with other systems. etc. Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans. Help develop realistic schedules, resource requirements, and budgets to support effective project management. Develop requirements specifications according to standardized method while using natural language accessible to non-technical communities. Serve as the conduit between the customer community and the software development team through which requirements flow. Collaborate with developers, functional analysts and subject matter experts to analyze tradeoffs between usability and operational efficiency. Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams. Qualifications: 8 years Business analysis experience required. Strong knowledge of enterprise information technology systems. Strong analytical and product management background required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. The ability to interact professionally and effectively with a diverse range of people, including world-class scientists across a broad range of scientific disciplines, a wide range of Environmental Health and Safety subject matter experts, line managers and operations personnel. Demonstrated experience in a leadership functions and roles. Need to have excellent writing skills including previous experience in developing workflow diagrams and documenting comprehensive system requirements. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Knowledge and experience working with Environmental Health and Safety issues highly desirable. This position reports to the EHS Sr Business Manager, and will work very closely with staff in many of our scientific research and operation organizations.
