-IMMEDIATE NEED A CONSULTANT- Position: *Ab Initio Developer* Location: Reston.VA Length: 3-6+ months w/option for additional time THEY MUST BE WILLING TO HAVE A CREDIT CHECK – as well as a BGC Overview: The Ab initio developers will be charged with conducting test automation. There may be some training in test automation tools involved, but the client has indicated that they can provide this. Requirements: Must have exp 2+ yrs exp creating high level and detailed ETL designs using Ab Initio GDE and basic component sets (i.e. Dataset, Database, Transform, Look-up, De-partition & Partition } Must have prior exp assisting in gathering, identifying & clarifying reporting requirements In-depth understanding of the GDE, core component sets (i.e. Dataset, Database, Transform, Look-up, De-partition & Partition), file management utilities and usage of environment variables. Develops and/or leads the development of prototypes Must be able to perform the following activities including: Designing, developing and optimizing complex graphs that move and/or manipulate large volumes of data Expertise analyzing and optimizing performance of extracts, loads and transformations Strong knowledge and use of BI/DW development methodologies, standards and procedures Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization.
