-IMMEDIATE NEED A CONSULTANT- Job Title: Oracle Application DBA Location: Houston, TX Duration: 6 + Months Contract This position is very detailed. My client needs a DBA with EBS R-12. In addition, Oracle Discoverer and OBIEE. If you have candidates that fit this profile then by all means get them over to me. Database Administrator Requirements Our client has the need for an Oracle Apps/DBA Contractor. This position will primarily be responsible for providing support for Client's Oracle EBS R12 implementation * support, patching, upgrades, etc. Certifications not required but desirable. This will be a 6 month contract. Position has the potential transition to full-time employee. Travel Some travel required (10%) Technology Experience Primary : Oracle Database 10G and 11G , Oracle EBS R12 Application support , Oracle Discoverer 10g/11g and OBIEE 11g , Oracle BPEL/SOA Suite Working knowledge of RH Enterprise Linux 5 Oracle Data Guard, Oracle RMAN, Oracle Enterprise Manager Secondary : Oracle IBPM, UPK, GRC 3rd Party products: Source control (PVCS) Microsoft client tools - excel, work, etc. o Vertex O-Series installation, integration and support Job Function/Requirements o Install, patch, upgrade and maintain Oracle E-Business Suite R12 application o Install, patch, upgrade and maintain Oracle Discoverer/OBIEE o Install, patch, upgrade and maintain Oracle BPEL, GRC applications o Install, patch, upgrade and maintain Oracle Database systems o Monitoring and troubleshooting Database Backups o Migrate application code and database objects o Clone/refresh database environments o Write, maintain and troubleshoot SQL, shell scripts (ksh, etc) Weekly report of accomplishments, issues and next tasks Attributes o Fast learner, Self-motivated, adapts to changing priorities ; Able to manage multiple project priorities and tasks ; Able to follow policies and procedures, clearly document processes, coach and transfer knowledge to other team members NOTE: This role will encompass around 60% production and development support of all the products listed including EBS/DB patching, 40% of the effort will be project related for database upgrades and new infrastructure projects such as iProcurement punch-out setup.
