Job Title: C#.Net Location: Charlotte, NC Duration: 18+ Months Contract* Actual notes from the hiring manager: Candidate will need to have both C# front-end development experience (Winforms or WPF) AND a good understanding of SQL Server from a development standpoint. Client is not looking for DBA's or pure "back-end" development work. The positions we are looking to fill are senior level positions and will need the following skills: C# Front-end (5+ yrs required)- development, maintenance SQL Server (5+ yrs required)- query development, troubleshooting and optimization SSIS package development (recommended) WPF development experience (optional) Financial background, specifically rates trading (optional) Calypso experience (optional) For this project the developers will be working on streamlining an existing process. Primarily automating any existing manual steps in the process and optimizing existing automated tasks. Additionally, better logging and reporting mechanisms will be created. Some of the tools created may get fairly complex and will probably require developers to think "outside" of the box. The application that will be supported will require extensive SQL server knowledge and an ability to troubleshoot problems (both code and sql) quickly and efficiently. During this time the developer will contribute to the development of potentially complex tools for the production support team and the development team to support the morning processes. The developer will be required to work onsite. Depending on several factors the developer may be offered a permanent position.
