*****Immediately Needed A Consultant***** * Network Administrator Greensboro, NC 10+months This is a second shift staff position. * Staff may work other times per job requirements to include holidays, weekends, and other shifts. However, the primary shift is second shift for this position. Administer, maintain and support the MS Windows 2003/2008 enterprise server environment. Strong knowledge of the Windows OS and the ability to comfortably patch and maintain the operating system Ability to manage Citrix virtual environment Ability to manage VMware virtual server hosts Responsible for installation of Windows server upgrades on production servers and distribution to remote servers Maintain USERID’s and security Groups Experience with GPOs Ability to manage MS SQL Server Maintain Windows OS and file security. Perform capacity analysis and plan for future growth. Ensure proper backups of all servers. Restore files as needed. Evaluate new versions of server software and make recommendations regarding their usage. Manage Windows server disk space. Troubleshoot hardware and software problems. Provide technical assistance (hardware and software). Provide customer support. Document and cross train support staff on all related issues. Have a complete understanding of TCP/IP networks and their infrastructure. Have a base understanding of network routers, switches, and other infrastructure equipment. Thorough understanding of proactive monitoring tools and their use. Other duties as assigned by manager. Ability to lift a server into a rack, install a server by cabling and powering up Knowledge of server hardware, comfortable swapping broken hardware components (memory, hard drives, power supplies) *KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, EXPERIENCE and MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED * 7-10 years of experience as Senior Network / Systems Administrator Thorough knowledge of MS Windows 2003/2008 Server Operating System Thorough knowledge of server technology, SAN, Switches, KVM Thorough knowledge of VMware, Citrix – ability to setup, configure rollout hosts Excellent written and oral communication skills. Self starter with excellent troubleshooting skills Experience in developing and presenting support documentation. Demonstrated ability to apply technology or technology process to solve "real world" problems without supervision. Excellent ability to work in a team oriented environment. In-depth understanding of industry network/hardware/software infrastructure. Demonstrated time management, planning, and organization skills. Ability to take on unassisted network administration tasks without supervision. Ability to handle multiple tasks without supervision.
