Just want to ensure that you guys are aware the team is looking for a BA
who was heavily involved in a “Portfolio Analytics” implementation project.
Although they are flexible in the candidate not having Charles River(the
portfolio management version), the candidate at least has to have another
Portfolio management tool.
I am seeing some resumes of strong BA’s, but with no Portfolio Management
implementation experience. I would like to think that you guys are familiar
enough with this team to know they are “very particular” in the people they
hire. So, I wouldn’t want you wasting your time on the recruiting process,
if the focus is incorrect

Main Function

Senior Business Analyst for BWA Information Technology: Portfolio
Management Project
Main responsibilities: include creating and maintaining Business
Requirements, Functional Specification, and Testing support during the
project.  The following are core examples (not an exhaustive list):
·          Create and maintain Business Requirement Document, and the
Functional Specifications documentation.
·          Responsible for providing and maintaining timelines and tasks
required for completion of BRD/FSD.
·          Responsible for communicating and resolving open requirement
issues related to requirements with the business representative.
·          Responsible for coordinating requirement document sign-off by
the owners of the Business Requirements and the Technology leads.
·          Works with Development Team to ensure that sufficient
requirement details are provided for the technical design and
implementation.
·          Works with QA Team to ensure that sufficient requirements are
provided for the QA Testing plans.
·          Provides the link between the technical and business disciplines.
·          Coordinate between various technical and business disciplines to
gather, analyze, and assist in clarifying requirements needed for
completion of the project.


Person Requirements

·          Must have prior experience in Portfolio Management Tool
implementation project with strong knowledge and experience in the
Investment Management business domain.
·          Understanding of Portfolio Analytics Tools is a highly preferred.
·          Experience and knowledge in Charles River solution is a major
plus.
·          Prefer strong knowledge and experience in trade order management
and execution, and sales compensation payout.
·          Knowledge and experience in client on-boarding, client
suitability, client reference data management, and client billing is a plus.
·          Knowledge of financial services business (e.g. brokerage, asset
management, financial market, portfolio management, banking operations,
finance product control, client and product static data, and AML / KYC risk
measurement) is highly preferred.
·          Must have excellent communication skills (both verbal and
written). Furthermore, must be able to interface with Managing Director
level project sponsors and stakeholders.
·          Must be able to write Business Requirement Documents, and
Functional Specification Documents.
·          Must be highly detail oriented.
·          Must possess strong organizational skills.
·          Knowledge and experience in Project Management is a plus.
·          Experience in complete SDLC process.
·          Software development experience, and ability to write Technical
Specification Document is a plus.
·          Hard working, self motivated, and assertive.
·          Capable of facilitating meetings
·          Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, Project,
and Visio.
