Must have knowledge of the industry trends, future storage possibilities, and over all technical direction as well as be able to mentor others in the team to grow their knowledge base and experiences. The SAN Admin will also be responsible for overseeing, reviewing the technical deployment, and ensuring correct standards for quality of deployment. The SAN admin provides storage replication solutions for disaster recovery and business continuity for the overall storage strategy of the enterprise. (Storage catalogue, storage strategy, application alignment) within a 2 site Data Center Environment (WI & IL) Requirements: Must have 3-5 yrs experience with EMC platforms including EMC Storage (Symmetrix VMAX & DMX) Storage Provisioning & Replication (tuning & load balancing) Startup/Shutdown Procedures Must have SME w/SRDF (Symmetrix Remote Data Facility) & RecoverPoint software exp. Mid to Sr. understanding of SAN experience (Cisco/Brocade/McData), Must have exp operating in a SAN fabric environment with storage provisioning skills including disk assignment, fabric zoning and LUN masking Maintaining multi-tiered storage infrastructure leveraging EMC hardware and software Participate in the execution of the business continuance and disaster recovery plans. Participate in the design and operational execution of the customer's storage disaster recovery process. Perform necessary storage infrastructure maintenance in accordance with internal best practices. Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization.
