*Job Title: Project Manager With SAP BI Location: Columbus, OH Duration: 6+ Months Contract* *Major Duties / Essential Functions: *Role includes planning and execution of the entire software lifecycle and coordinating with other teams within the IT department. Requires the ability to run multiple distributed software teams located in multiple locations. Position will report to the Director of Software Systems. Establish plans and track progress (effort, budget, and schedule) for multiple projects and resource utilization to direct projects teams' responsibilities and priorities and resolve resource constraints within team and across other teams; overall responsibility and accountability for on-time, within budget delivery of multiple information technology projects; requires management of internal and external (to the team) as well as management of vendor entities that are critical to the successful delivery of the project. Resolve project issues across team and external teams throughout the project and release life cycle by working with managers in other groups and escalating as necessary, including development of relationships with business partners and resolution and/or escalation of pertinent project issues with them. Communicate progress to senior management and adjust priorities based on business direction and changes. Manage risk based on initiatives and make mitigating decisions or report appropriately as issues arise. *Essential Qualifications: *Education: Bachelor's Degree Course of Study/Major: Information Technology or Computer Science Type of Credentials/Licenses: PMP Certified Related Work Experience: 6-8 years Minimum of six years of technical project management experience. Minimum of six years of experience interfacing with customers for understanding and prioritizing business needs and requirements. Passion and ability in providing excellent customer service. Experience in multiple software development lifecycle phases, including scope and proposal, analysis, design, software construction, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Demonstrated ability to learn and quickly comprehend new concepts. Demonstrated strong oral and written communication and presentation skills. Experience facilitating meetings with multiple customers and technical staff, including building consensus and mediating compromises when necessary. Ability to manage and balance multiple simultaneous projects or initiatives. Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills. Demonstrated solid judgment and decision-making ability. Demonstrated leadership and management skills, including delegating, mentoring, and coaching. Experience with project planning and project scheduling. Experience producing project status reports for multiple audiences, including knowledge of statistical progress tracking. Experience in risk management. Demonstrated ability to ensure quality through the software lifecycle. Experience in change management. Willingness to accept responsibilities outside the traditional project management role.
