Phone first , then F2F. REQUIREMENT DESCRIPTION Our client, a leading international bank, is looking for a consultant to join their technology team. Senior Level ETL/ETI consultant for a major Data Warehouse Enhancement Project - Will be responsible for: · looking at current mainframe source systems and either re-writing or porting to the distributed side · writing new ETL's to replicate logic to bring into new platform · bringing options and futures data into new tables in new distributed platform Required Skills: · 8+ years hands-on IT experience, 5+ years data warehouse development and (ETL) experience, 4+ mainframe; 5+ in SQL and DB2. · MUST have extensive IBM Mainframe experience (5 year minimum) using TSO, DB2, SYNCSORT, COBOL and other utilities. · MUST have previous experience with Informatica toolset administration, design, and development and in using the Informatica scheduler. · Must have experience also working with the AIX and UNIX platforms. ETI experience (tool used as a code generator for mainframe) is a major plus for this role. · Must have strong experience using UNIX, creating Shell scripts, and DB2. · Strong systems architecture and design skills. · Must have excellent communication skills to interact with end users to fully understand their needs and requirements. · Requires a strong understanding of Data Warehouse concepts as well as relational databases. Should have a general understanding of financial services/ commercial banking business subject matter including risk management, derivatives, options, futures, profitability analysis, etc. · Must have the ability to learn new tools and resolve production problems quickly. Should possess the ability to fully understand user needs, develop systems designs and programs to support the requirements.
