Job Requirements Server setup and knowledge on connectivity to red hat site and download the patches and configure client accordingly to get a patches from Yum servers. Knowledge on overall infrastructure to understand the patching methodologies and prepare a technical roadmap to implement the patches to bigger environment Knowledge on depth technical to prepare technical procedure and handover to team to execute the plan Knowledge on rpm commands and their options Knowledge on kernel and boot parameters. Knowledge of shell scripting Understanding of connectivity of infrastructure, like web server, apps server, database server etc. Hands-on experience on Red Hat Linux Good documentation skills, ITIL process knowledge Experience on server recovery from failure and booting issue. Experience on revert backing the patches on the servers in case of any issues. Experience on Logical Volume manager, Red hat Cluster and VERITAS cluster Good Understanding of Server Firewall Tools- IPTABLES in Linux Knowledge on web sphere, web logic, and database from OS point of view. Root cause analysis and Problem management Disk Management, User management.
