*Job Title: LAN/WAN Network Engineer
Location: Jersey City, NJ
Duration: 6 month*
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
The body of work comprises discovery and documentation of the COMPANY
network. The scope of the network included multiple data centers, 12
corporate locations and 120+ branch locations. Components of the physical
scope include switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, monitoring
components, circuits and any other network managed devices.
Specific deliverables will include:
Current architecture & flow diagrams in Visio format Layers 1-3.
Research, analysis and reporting of current trending and network
statistical data.
Analysis of current routing via OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, & Static routing.
Including route redistribution and route manipulation.
Procedures for standard engineering activities.
Networking design guidelines and standards.
Evaluation of current configuration and possible future new feature sets.
Required Skills:
OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, & Static routing, LAN switching, WAN protocols, network
analysis.
Experience working with telecom carriers for circuit installation,
modificiation and decommissioning.
# of Years Required: 5+ years of overall networking experience.
Preferred Skills:
Network management
network analysis
Capacity and growth reporting.
Required Education:
BA or equivalent work experience.
Minimum CCNA level skillset & proficiency required.
