*Primary responsibilities include: *


Work closely with SAS user areas to assure that their needs are being met,
train business users in established standards and procedures with respect
to end user applications and production processes.

SAS System Administration - Monitor the SAS server for resource utilization
and act on incidents.

SAS Programming and Data Management to include: Write, maintain, and
support SAS Programs in SAS Base and Enterprise Guide.

SAS Support - Provide guidance and assistance to SAS analysts on technical
issues.

SAS Environment configuration - Provide guidelines, establish data and
metadata security.

SAS Data - Monitor storage growth and work with user areas to develop purge
criteria

SAS Program and application maintenance – Patches, upgrades, integration of
various SAS modules.

Participate in the production software deployments, upgrades, capacity
planning, backup strategies, software/hardware integration, troubleshooting
and recommendations for the configuration of the SAS application.

Perform daily tasks within the scope of Unix & Windows SAS system
administration, including but not limited to, file system performance
monitoring, program and application performance, and user administration.

Integrate SAS applications with other applications using SAS Web Services.

Research best practices and provide end user support for application use,
programming technique, data access, and general SAS usage.

Provide SAS training among other things

*Required skills, education, and experience:                 *


Bachelor’s degree required.


5+ years experience in SAS programming, business analysis with demonstrated
analytical, problem solving and partnership skills.

5 to 7 years of relevant work experience in software
development.

Experience in Integrating SAS applications with other SOA compliant
applications using SAS Web Services.

Experience with PROC SQL or SQL.


Preferred proficiency in Enterprise Miner, SAS Enterprise Guide, and MS
Office Add-in.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint,
Outlook, and Word.

Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent
projects.

Has ability to perform/drive resolution of problems on areas within his/her
accountability.

Solid customer service skills and a consultative approach to dealing with
internal customers.

Able to communicate broad and specific concepts to team and to internal
clients.

Skills in sound judgment, problem solving, and critical thinking.**
