Data Architecture for ICP Claims applications.. *Job Description: * Create work orders for data access components by translating business & application requirements into quality detailed development specifications Review code from work orders for completeness, correctness, quality, & performance based on requirements of the work order Translate business & application requirements for a transactional system into SQL Aid in application transaction design for a transactional system Review SQL produced by developers for correctness based on requirements Performance tune SQL Review data access and transaction designs Perform performance monitoring and performance analysis for SQL executed Provide direction on SQL development patterns, technologies, best practices, etc. Oversee the SQL review process Perform root cause analysis and resolve data access problems Consult with DBAs on physical database design ** *Technical Skills:* PostgreSQL SQL (DB2 for z/OS, DB2 for LUW) *DBMS:* DB2 z/OS, DB2 LUW, Postgres PureQuery *Understanding/experience desired for the following:* SOAP/REST Web Service Design Spring MVC Java/J2EE Mule/ESB UML *Java development experience * Experience with SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) Experiences: 5+ Years as a SQL or data access developer Experience with open source DBMSs Experience with leading a team 1+ Years of experience in creating work orders for data access components by translating business & application requirements into quality detailed development specifications ** *Soft Skills: * Must be able to create a design that other team members will follow Can effectively voice their opinion in a room full of people Communication- both written and verbal.
