The selected candidate will work as a member of the Information Technology (IT) Program Management Office (PMO). This role focuses on the IT needs of the Energy Efficiency (EE) Organization at our client. The EE organization is focused on the identification, design, delivery, and management of EE programs that serve customers across multiple states. The EE business has very different IT needs in terms of time to market, IT solution design and delivery, and the overall value proposition for IT solutions. Projects in this area will focus on solutions that can be quickly (de)provisioned , integrate ‘lightly’ with corporate IT systems, yet still leverage as much as possible the core IT systems and data that fuel the development of EE programs. Responsibilities include: • Adapting the project management methodology to enable effective project management with the EE organization. • The PM will act as a champion to foster a positive project work environment, identify and resolve project related problems, and successfully lead the team to accomplish all the project objectives in the allotted time and budget constraints. • Initiating and chartering projects; managing scope, balancing quality and speed to delivery objectives, managing risks and issues; managing all aspects of project execution including creating and tracking costs and schedules; developing and managing to run rates; providing clear and accurate reporting and forecasting; delivering projects to production. Specific Requirements/Specific Skills • Project Management experience with providing IT services within a product driven organization, rapidly meeting needs while managing TCO and risk. • Experience with implementing software as a service solutions to meet business needs, including needs assessment, process and data mapping, integration and implementation, ongoing service management, and development of exit strategies. • Experience with data quality and analytics activities, including data warehouses, business intelligence, data mapping, development of analytical models for segmenting data, and approaches for assessing data needs within an organization. • Experience working with external providers. • Experience with any of the following is a plus: systems for managing usage or consumption information, Opower, Green Button, Smart Grid. Project Management requirements: • A Bachelor degree is required. Equivalent work experience and technical training cannot be substituted for the degree requirement. • PMI (Project Management Institute) certification as a PMP (Project Management Professional) preferred. • The successful candidate must have at least 5 years project management experience in a dynamic and fast paced work environment. • The successful candidate will be fully knowledgeable and proficient in all aspects of the project management Body of Knowledge. • The candidate must have demonstrated experience successfully managing projects and be able to cite practical examples of this including example deliverables. • Experience with Microsoft Project is required. • The successful candidate must be a high energy, detail oriented individual who will demonstrate: high caliber communication, leadership and people skills; strong organizational skills. • The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven ability to collaborate and coordinate activities with diverse groups, including stakeholders, sponsors, team leads, other project managers, and technical staff.
