*SAP Business Objects Developer 4.0 (Version 4.0 mandatory)* *Elkridge MD 12+ month* *Position Overview:* Business Objects Developer 4.0 (BO Developer) is responsible for the creation of technical design specs for universes and reports, develop universes, reports & dashboards, perform testing, develop user guides and perform end user training. The resource will deploy Business Intelligence solutions and design/develop Business Objects Universe(s). BO Developer will, provide user support for data issues, resolve access to application and data issues for users and provide follow-on support for end users after training. *Position Duties and Responsibilities:* • Designs, develops, codes, tests and debugs highly complex new universe and reports and makes significant enhancements to existing universe and reports. • Translate user requirements into specific reporting solutions. • Participate in the development, training and support for business users. • In depth knowledge of Universe Design concepts and expertise in designing Universe(s) using IDT and UDT. (OLAP and non-OLAP) - Highly desired • Experience with SAP Business Objects Analysis(Voyager) – Highly desired • Experience in BusinessObjects administration, security, back-up and restore process. • Should be capable of migrating content across environments using Upgrade Management tool. • Knowledge of Life Cycle Manager and versioning. • Sound knowledge of RDBMS, DB design, OLAP, data warehousing / data marts. • Expertise in creating complex Web Intelligence Reports using BO Webi 4.0/ Webi Rich Client & scheduling. • Design and develop Dashboards (formerly Xcelsius) - Highly desired. • Need to work closely with business leaders and users to define and design the universe, BI Dashboards and reports for business intelligence applications. • Thoroughly document applicable universe, reports and system documentation. • Ability to learn new database concepts, processes, tools, and best practices. • Has a good sense of how to best present data in order to support decision makers. • Ability to adapt to different software tools or techniques. • Ability to communicate technical requirements and functional requirements in a clear, easy to understand manner. • Expertise in writing SQL using DB2 and SQL Server. *Education and Experience:* Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems related field. 6+ years experience working with Business Intelligence tools and SQL Server data warehouse environment to gather requirements, designing, and developing BI solutions. 6+ years in designing, developing, and implementing advanced reporting in a SQL Server database environment with SAP Business Objects. Minimum 6 years experience in implementing SAP BusinessObjects suite using Webi, universe designer, dashboards, Crystal reports etc. Must have 6 years of experience in SAP BusinessObjects Universe development (non-OLAP and OLAP universes) Minimum 6 years of experience with RDBMS (preferably SQL Server). *Desired Skills:* Knowledge of creating SSIS packages using SQL Server SSIS is highly desired. Innovative thinking in designing reports and dashboards. Skilled in problem solving and analytical reasoning. Self-starter with the ability to work within a team or independently.
