*Position: * Test Lead *Duration:* 6 Months *Location:* Melville, NY *Description:* Experienced QA expert to assist in the testing effort of a custom intranet application. The primary responsibility of the QA Tester is to insure that application conforms to the approved functional specifications upon which the product design and development are based. The QA tester does this by creating and executing test scripts for all the test cases and scenarios which have been identified by the QA Lead. The QA Tester will be part of the project team and will need to collaborate with other Testers. *The key responsibilities:* - Develop/document test scripts - Develop, maintain, and execute manual test scripts - Identify, analyze, and report test results. - Defect tracking, resolution and documentation via QA rework system (Quality Center) - Work with 3 party vendor to investigate defects to isolate their causes. - Report to and work closely with Senior Project Manager - Development and execution of software program regression tests - Interaction / communication/ follow through with development team throughout testing phase to facilitate iterative cycle - Assisting in UAT if needed - Assist in documenting the entire test effort *The ideal candidate will need to have the following background:* - An in depth understanding of test principles, tools, and methodologies. - 5 years working in a project environment - 3-5 years experience in application testing/QA - Hands on expertise with all phases of testing including experience developing and documenting test scripts. - Ability to develop of test data criteria - Experience recording defects and reporting stats - Experience using Quality Center - Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills - Experience with Application Testing *Desired skills but not required: * - Familiarity project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile/SCRUM) - Experience with Sharepoint Applications - Experience with created automated scripts.
