The Associate Web Developer will be a member of a cross functional team responsible for small, but important efforts for True Action clients. Tasks may include coding of standard and responsive email templates, building the presentation layer for world-class web applications, and other essential career building tasks. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the internet and coding technologies and taking ongoing courses in the pursuit of a web development career. Experience working as part of a development technology team is a great bonus. The primary focus will be on front-end technologies; however, the ability to work on back-end components like content management systems is greatly desired. Also desired is any knowledge or experience working on e-commerce and/or m-commerce sites. The candidate will have a high desire to deliver high-quality solutions on-time and on-budget. The candidate must demonstrate a strong technical competency in an environment that values accountability, quality, commitment, growth, and innovation. *Success Criteria* While it is fully recognized that all success is dependent upon a concerted team effort and partnership with the appropriate team members within the organization, the primary performance metrics for this position will be: • Results driven • Client satisfaction • Deliver projects on time • Produce efficient code with no revenue impacting defects • Deliver small and large projects independently with a fast turn-around • Communicate risks early before the become issues • Share knowledge with other developers • Embrace on the job learning • Provide background knowledge to project managers, information architects, designers, technical account managers and marketing services professionals • Communication with fellow team members *Essential Skills & Experience* • Standards compliant (X)HTML and CSS 2.1 • Familiarity with email templates; both standard and responsive • Javascript, ability to utilize libraries like jQuery and Prototype, but not reliant on them • Object Oriented Programming (OOP) • Understanding of MVC fundamentals • Knowledge of the Linux command line • Experience with version control such as CVS, SVN, or GIT • Ability to get around in Photoshop; slice images, create image sprites, etc. • Ability to work both independently as well as in a team • Desire to learn more and hone your craft • Ability to work with and optimize – when necessary – legacy code *Preferred Skills & Experience* • HTML5, CSS 3, and Social experience (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.) • Core understanding of Javascript fundamentals and intricacies • Experience with a server side programming language.
