[email protected] * * Location: mountain view, CA The job description on our end is "Telephony Systems Administrator", and the job consists of: (1) Handling operational issues for adding, testing, and escalating issues with phone numbers in our system. This is a combination of using our tools and processes to add and test numbers, analyzing log information to see why phone numbers didn't work, and escalating issues with carriers when numbers don't work (generally via email.) A combination of technical skill and good communication skill is essential. (2) Investigating and responding to operational issues around phone number portability. Similar to the previous work, this requires analysis of data from our systems, usage of our tools, and escalation to third parties when appropriate to resolve issues. (3) Operational issues for legal investigations and abuse: This is analysis of logs and data based on legal requests for abuse scenarios.
