Title: Middleware Administrator (JBoss)** Duration: 6 Months ** Location: Englewood cliffs, NJ or Los Angeles, CA** * * Essential Functions/Responsibilities:** Position Overview As the IT and Application performance management consultant your main focus will be managing, planning, designing, implementing & optimizing the Web hosting infrastructure for our clients. You will be interacting directly with customers and third party vendors for proposing, evaluating and conducting proof of concepts for new products and technologies that drive business value, reputation and revenue. Utilize various tools to proactively identify and detect application and infrastructure issues before they become impacting to the business . You will be responsible for driving problem management for our clients for critical issues in collaboration with various infrastructure teams for root cause analysis and resolution. You will also be responsible for managing day to day operational requests like deployments, work on support tickets, incidents and building new web servers based on middleware technologies like JBoss, tomcat , Apache , LAMP, Drupal , WordPress etc. Qualifications/Requirements:** Technologies Platforms: Linux, Windows, PHP • Applications: Apache, Nginx, Tomcat, IIS, WordPress, Drupal Databases: MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, • Caching: Akamai, Varnish, Memcached, • APM: Knowledge AppInternals Xpert, Apptransaction Xpert, Dynatrace, New Relic, AppDynamics etc. will be and added advantage • Scripting: Strong knowledge in bash scripting. • Monitoring: Splunk, HP Operations Manager, Application Performance Monitoring, Cacti etc. Desired Skills and Experience ** • Exceptionally strong skills and experience with middleware technologies like Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, Varnish, IIS , LAMP ,bash scripting Development, Support and Systems Integration. • Very good understanding of how applications in .Net CLR and JVM work and their common issues. • Extensive experience in application troubleshooting and performance tuning, • Extensive experience in building & deploying enterprise level web/App servers. • Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills. • Strong windows administration and troubleshooting skills. • Strong knowledge of disaster recovery techniques. • Excellent communication, interpersonal and project management skills required with the ability to drive and meet deadlines Desired:** Key Responsibilities • Automate deployment, monitoring, management and incident response • Monitor site stability and performance and troubleshoot site issues • Proactively identify opportunities and issues with existing and proposed web applications. • Enhance, maintain, and administer the current physical and virtual server infrastructure systems. • Set direction and policy on current and future UNIX technologies and architectural solutions. • Participate in strategic planning. • Develop and maintain server infrastructure documentation including architecture diagrams, metrics, and operating procedures. • Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs to meet business needs. • Troubleshoot problems with support vendors to find solutions to complex problems.
