Role : Storage Engineer L3 Location: Milpitas, CA Duration : 6 Month Job Description: Ø Storage Engineer with 8+ years of Technical Experience and will provide design, configuration, implementation and support in amulti-location, multi-vendor storage environment. Responsibilities: Ø Responsible for evaluation, design, implementation and support for Storage and backup Infrastructure Ø Implement Technical Projects and work on Technical and coordination tasks Ø Perform Storage allocations, Switch related tasks Ø Perform all support tasks including tuning, troubleshooting, maintenances Ø Contribute and develop best practices, methodologies, templates and documentation Ø Performance management and Capacity Planning for infrastructure components Ø Perform Root Cause Analysis for the Storage and Infrastructure related issues Ø Provide Recommendations for the Improvement of the Infrastructure Ø Work with Storage& Backup team customers for cross functional tasks Requirements: The Storage Engineer will be required to have expertise in the Design, Configuration and Support for following Technology areas: • Excellent technical skills and experience with designing and managing SAN/NAS storage arrays • Expertise with Hitachi and Netapp Enterprise products • Expertise in Hi-Command, Data Ontap, OnCommand • Experience with EMC VNX, Dell Compellent, Flash based storage products is a plus • Expertise with Cisco and Brocade switches • In-depth direct system Engineering experience involving storage and backup solutions • Design and implementation of Hitachi and Netapp replication technologies • Expertise working with Netbackup and backup technologies/ related products • Expertise with operational activities for Storageand switches, RAID implementations, volume configuration in a complex VMware and UNIX environments. • Experience working in Solaris, Linux and VMware environments • Expertise in resolving storage, system and SAN issues • Must be able to communicate with team and management in a clear and concise manner • Must be able to respond to outages at late hours Thanks.
