Title                     : Messaging Admin - L2

Duration               : FTE / Contract to Hire

Location               : Richmond, VA

Job Description:


Working as a member of a support team, this position will have visible and
direct interaction with local users, and also provide phone support to
remote users at varying levels within the organization. A technically
knowledgeable, customer service oriented person with an excellent work ethic
is essential. 

 

Essential Job Duties

*       Provides support to end-users and troubleshoot all messaging issues.
*       Troubleshoot and isolate to component level and complete to
resolution. Channel irresolvable issues to the next level (Desktop, Server,
Calendaring, mail routing etc)
*       Collaborate with different technology groups for issue resolution
and information sharing.
*       Assists with the monitoring of the messaging system.
*       Creates new users and rectifies existing users as needed.
*       Provision mobile devices (Blackberry, WM, Smart-Phones etc). 
*       Mobile/ActiveSync user administration.
*       Administration of Enterprise Vault server or similar product.
*       Support messaging related applications (Instant messaging,
encryption, spam filtering, EFTP etc)
*       Participate in planning and testing of new system software and
development of system roll-out/implementation strategies
*       Exchange DR Server installation and exchange database
interoperability with DR Server in case of disaster

 

Job Requirment

 

Required Skills / Qualifications: 

*       Large scale Enterprise Exchange deployment - Minimum 4-5 yr
*       Mail Routing and configuration - Minimum 4-5yr 
*       Blackberry Server and device configuration - Minimum 4-5yr
*       Office communication service - Minimum 4-5 yr
*       Other mail products such as Spam Filtering 
*       Email Encryption technologies - Minimum 4-5 yr

*         Exchange Server 2007/2010 environment -4-5yr

*         Trend Scanmail or similar for messaging environment-4-5yr

*         Automated Group Management tool SMTP relay Server -4-5yr

*         Secure File Appliance Manageability and Administration-4-5yr

*         ISA Server Celestix Appliance Manageability and
Administration-4-5yr

*         Enterprise Vault (or similar), Manageability and Administration
for Email Archiving structure-4-5yr

*         Exchange 2003/2007/2010 Test, Development and QA environment
-4-5yr

 

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

 

*       Must have professional experience using various Windows desktop
operating systems.
*       Strong desktop support experience required.
*       Excellent trouble-shooting skills, includes resolving issues with
users connecting remotely to the server environment.
*       Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to
detail.
*       The candidate should also have experience with 2003/2007/2010
exchange environments.
