Responsible for network hardware and software evaluations, testing and
deployment. Coordinates projects and provides technical support to
Development teams. Architecting of server infrastructure in a multi-tier
environment. Performs troubleshooting, performance and capacity tuning and
trending analysis. Provides installation, maintenance, and tuning of
Windows hardware and software systems. Prepares installs and implements
Microsoft Windows Operating System Software and Active Directory Domains.
Install, configure MS Cluster Service to support SQL Databases. Configure
HP Proliant Servers, IBM Blades, VMWare Guests. Install and tune IBM
WebSphere Servers. Interface extensively with LAN, WAN, SAN, UNIX,
Application and DB teams.
*Qualifications*
BS Degree in Computer Science, or the equivalent in education and/or
experience. Minimum of 5 years experience in a technical open system
environment. Excellent communications, organizational, and time management
skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong working
knowledge of Windows operating systems, and network technologies.
Understanding of Windows scripting and automation. Overall knowledge of the
hardware and software components of Windows operating system. In depth
knowledge of topology of Storage Area Network and the support of it. Large
data center experience highly desirable. Financial Services background
desirable. Support of IBM WebSphere and IIS/.NET applications in a large
hosting environment is highly desired.
