·         *6-10 years of expertise in **MySQL** Administration on different
**UNIX **environments (RHEL/Ubuntu/SUSE) with good **Shell Scripting**
knowledge.*

·         *Proficient in Storage Engine Architecture (Innodb, MyISAM, NDB,
Memory, Archive etc.) concurrency, transactions, indexing, locking,
caching.*

·         *Strong Expertise in Installation/configuration and
Migration of **MySQL
5.6/5.X** Enterprise/Community Version and above Databases.*

·         *In-depth knowledge of Database Architecture, Data Structures and
internals.*

·         *Strong Knowledge on implementation of **SOP** framework,
processes and policies.*

·         *Strong Knowledge on scripting to automate DB tasks, maintain
configuration for Databases and implementation of Proactive monitoring.*

·         *Strong Knowledge in Installation, configuration and monitoring *
*MySQL** Databases, **MySQL Clusters**.*

·         *Real-time knowledge on Database performance assessment and
capacity planning.*

·         *In-depth knowledge on High-Availability Environments like **MySQL
Replication** topologies (Master-Master, Master-Slave etc.), DRBD Setups.*

·         *Strong knowledge on implementing traditional backup/recovery
process and percona backup/recovery processes.*

·         *Expertise in writing and debugging SQL Queries and performance
optimization.*

·         *Hands-on experience MySQL version upgrade/patches, User
Administration, Security Implementation and Audit processes.*

·         *Sound Knowledge on any of **UI’s like** MySQL Workbench, SQLyog,
Control Centre, MySQL Administrator.*

·         *Contribute to architectural directions and new features
evaluation/implementation.*

·         *Provide off-hours maintenance and project support.*

·         *Ability to Guide development teams on appropriate use of
database features and structures.*

·         *Ability to identify inefficient queries and develop
alternatives.*

·         *Knowledge on **SAN storage** arrays, VMware and Linux-DRBD.*

·         *Knowledge on other RDMS Environments like PostgreSQL/SQL
Server/Oracle is added advantage.*

·         *Excellent at Communication, Problem-solving and Interpersonal
Skills.*
