Entry level position. Works under close supervision to perform
low-leveldatabase management tasks such as adding users, managing space
etc.Participates in testing back-ups, ensuring maximum up-time and
maximumperformance of database. Familiarity with basic administrative
commands isexpected at this level. Front-line interaction with users to
assist with lowlevel trouble-shooting requirements.
Skill2 - Database Admin (L2)
A fully contributing team member who performs database management tasks
suchas meeting user access requirements and resolving their problems.
Responsiblefor ensuring that storage, archiving, backup and recovery
procedures arefunctioning correctly. Writes database documentation,
including data standards,procedures and definitions for the data dictionary
with some generalsupervision. Front-line interaction with users to assist

Generate Statistics for thetables, Partitioned tables, Subpartitioned
Tables & troubleshoot issues relatedto Statistics. Troubleshoot issues like
Database hanging, issues with undotablespaces, segments. Be able to Tune
SQL, SGA. Perform Hot backup, ColdBackup. Export, Import Recover under
Various Scenarious (like recovery acorrupted database when the db runs in
archive log mode, Recovery a tables datawhen a user accidently drops it,
etc).
