Role :Senior LEAD Java developer (Financial Firm) Location : Boston MA Duration : long term contract Interview : Face to face is a must Job Description: Responsible for design and development of backend services and modules of web applications in agile development environment. Partner with related Project Management / Business Analyst, Front End Development, QA, Vendor and production support teams in project delivery, maintenance and support of retail web applications. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Ø Work with Project Managers/Business Analysts in planning the project by participating in sprint planning, review sessions and back log development. Ø Responsible for the design and architecture of the project including working with front end teams on interfaces/model/api agreements. Ø Responsible for setting up the project in svn (including maven profile) and CI build environments. Ø Participate in coding (70% of the time) during sprint executions. Ø Responsible for planning and conducting code reviews. Ø Responsible for running code scans including application security scans to ensure code quality, reliability and security of the applications in production. Ø Work closely with Quality Assurance in resolving defects and in conducting performance tests. Ø Lead production implementation activities. Ø Participate in Disaster Recovery and Security Audits of the applications. Ø Responsible for providing application support (Level 3 support). Ø Responsible for application transition to support teams and managing application documentation. Ø Coordinating with vendors in reviewing their deliverables including code and design documents, and providing logistical/technical support to vendor teams Essential Skills/ Experience Required: Ø Demonstrates advanced design and coding skills in the following technologies: Ø Java including mastery over 1.5 and 1.6 features Ø Spring 3.0 Ø Maven 2.0 Ø Hibernate Ø JSF/JSP technologies Ø Application Security Standards (OWASP) Ø Java unit testing frame works (like JUnit, TestNG) Ø SOAP Java Libraries ( CXF, Axis) Ø Experience in working in Agile teams Ø Excellent Oral and Written communication skills Demonstrates intermediate design and coding skills in the following technologies: Ø Freemarker Ø JQuery Ø JBoss/Tomcat Servers Adminstration Ø Load Testing Ø Basic to Intermediate design and coding skills in the following technologies: Ø HTML/CSS Ø Ability to lead a small development team Thanks.
