Role :Weblogic Support Engineer

Location: San Francisco, CA

Duration: 18 months 

Interview : Skype is possible

 

 

Job Description :

Ø  This individual will lead third level technical production support for the 
organization's online products and services to ensure maximum performance, 
availability and security.

Ø  Uses DNS, diagnostic and customer simulation tools to maintain, 
troubleshoot, 
and/or restore service to the production environment.

Ø  Identifies application and/or hardware/OS problems.

Ø  Reroutes customer traffic around production problems, project 
implementations 
and application code updates.

Ø  Provides regular on-call production support requiring quick response and 
coordination leading to problem resolution or escalation to other on-call 
support 
engineers or the on-call manager.

Ø  Leads cross-group production support conference calls.

 

Required Skills: 

Ø  Weblogic

Ø  Tomcat trouble shooting in production 

Ø  Must know how to do production support for large  web applications

Ø  Sun One web servers
