They want someone how has done/used automated testing tools ( i.e. HP QuickTest Pro, Winrunner, etc – lots of automated tools out there, need to quality).* *In addition, they need to be strong in the Windows suite of testing, but also Linux. * *Technical environment: Microsoft technologies (VB, C#, .Net, WPF, MS SQL, ASP), to develop products for standalone, 2-tier, and 3-tier Windows and Web platforms. Portfolio Center Concept or Cloud (PCC) now called PM2 is a new hosted web product that will be a Portfolio Management System offering some of the features in PortfolioCenter but more dynamically with various widgets and new calculation options for the Portfolio Management customer (Registered Investment Advisors). The first phase of the project includes a system required to extract, process and load data into a Mongo database scaled across multiple servers. That data is processed from backend Schwab mainframe systems via a distributed environment Informatica Power Center engine, as well as SPT Position, Balance and Account data from PortfolioCenter databases. SPT Loaders, PowerCenter Loaders and an SPT Extractor will all have command line interfaces for QA to use for manual testing that will be scripted and baselined. The QA Engineer will work within a closely integrated team of developers and business partners in a highly interactive, fast-paced agile scrum team to plan, create, and execute manual and automated software testing activities for PCC. The right candidate will have expertise with QA best practices and tools, and have proven experience performing all QA-related functions such as vetting requirements or user stores/acceptance criteria, creating test plans and test cases, executing test cases, creating automation scripts, and reviewing regression results in order to quickly determine if builds/releases are ready for market. **Essential Duties:* *. Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills are necessary. Ability to interact and communicate well with business partners and technology teams is required. Written and verbal communication skills must both be strong. . Works directly with appropriate business partners and development to understand project concepts, objectives and approach of software development projects. . Cooperatively establishes the purpose and deliverables of the test effort. . Participate in all aspects of testing, including functional, regression, load and system testing. . Working with business owner(s) and QA team to develop and implement test plans/cases . Works collaboratively with development during all stages of projects to provide in process testing results. . Define and track quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts. . Manage defects and proactively identify risks to management . Able to work independently and in team environments. . Develop automated testing scripts and framework using an automation tool.* *Qualifications: * *. 11+ years' of experience successfully testing applications for Windows platforms using Microsoft technologies including TFS, Visual Studio, and multiple Windows and Linux operating systems. * *. Experience with Mongo databases is a significant plus. * *. 5+ years' of strong hands on experience using automation tools. * *. 6+ years' of experience in complex data analysis and data calculations. * *. 11+ years' of experience as an expert in test design, with a proven track record of designing reasonable and effective tests that can quickly show whether a product is ready for market * *. 11+ years' experience in industry leading test methodologies and QA best practices. . Extremely strong investigative and interpretive skills required. * *. Very strong multitasking skills will be required * *. Good estimation skills - able to provide reasonable estimates .
