Role :LEAD Java developer Location :Boston Ma Duration :Long term Contract Interview :Face is a must Sr. Software Developer – Job Description: Summary Description: Responsible for design and development of backend services and modules of web applications in agile development environment. Partner with related Project Management / Business Analyst, Front End Development, QA, Vendor and production support teams in project delivery, maintenance and support of retail web applications. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: · Work with Project Managers/Business Analysts in planning the project by participating in sprint planning, review sessions and back log development. · Responsible for the design and architecture of the project including working with front end teams on interfaces/model/api agreements. · Responsible for setting up the project in svn (including maven profile) and CI build environments. · Participate in coding (70% of the time) during sprint executions. · Responsible for planning and conducting code reviews. · Responsible for running code scans including application security scans to ensure code quality, reliability and security of the applications in production. · Work closely with Quality Assurance in resolving defects and in conducting performance tests. · Lead production implementation activities. · Participate in Disaster Recovery and Security Audits of the applications. · Responsible for providing application support (Level 3 support). · Responsible for application transition to support teams and managing application documentation. · Coordinating with vendors in reviewing their deliverables including code and design documents, and providing logistical/technical support to vendor teams Essential Skills/ Experience Required: 1. Demonstrates advanced design and coding skills in the following technologies: a. Java including mastery over 1.5 and 1.6 features b. Spring 3.0 c. Maven 2.0 d. Hibernate e. JSF/JSP technologies f. Application Security Standards (OWASP) g. Java unit testing frame works (like JUnit, TestNG) h. SOAP Java Libraries ( CXF, Axis) 2. Experience in working in Agile teams 3. Excellent Oral and Written communication skills 4. Demonstrates intermediate design and coding skills in the following technologies: a. Freemarker b. JQuery c. JBoss/Tomcat Servers Adminstration d. Load Testing 5. Basic to Intermediate design and coding skills in the following technologies: a. HTML/CSS 6. Ability to lead a small development team Thanks.
