Title: Java Developer (with Financial Client) Location: Jersey City, NJ Duration: Long Time *Typically they interview people who will have only 3 projects in the last five years.* The following technical skills are mandatory for this role: • Java server side (multi-threading experience a plus) • Sybase/DB2/SQL • Unix/Linux (including scripting languages) *Preferred Qualifications:* • While business knowledge would be a strong advantage, it is not essential for the role. • C# experience *Job Summary & Responsibilities:* As a Java developer, the candidate will be responsible for the following: • Being responsible for the full project lifecycle, from requirements capture through design/implementation, rollout and support • Working closely with a Technical Lead & Project Manager to help extend the infrastructure to support the growing volumes placed on it as more business is migrated onto the new platform • Work with the firm's dedicated support team to help provide ongoing support for business critical operations for the firm's users Basic Qualifications The successful applicant must have the following: • Strong analytical skills • Have experience working within a global team • Excellent communication skills • A strong enthusiasm in technology and be motivated by solving technical problems Must be willing to roll their sleeves up and dive into solving issues, including production support *Let me know if needed any help from my end.
