Java Software Engineer Location: Albany NY Duration: Contract Interview : Skype or Phone Position Overview: Ø This is a long term role with our direct client. Ø They have a Java/ Oracle environment and long term this is the development you will be doing. Ø The initial project though, is to convert Visual Basic.Net code into Java code. Ø What we need is a candidate with enough knowledge in VB.Net to do this initial conversion and then to continue with on-going java development. Skills Required: Ø 6+ years Development Experience. Ø Java development Experience. Ø Web Services Experience. Ø Must have strong Unix/Linux Experience. Ø Strong Experience with Oracle is required. Ø SQL and/or PL/SQL Experience. Ø Visual Basic.Net development Experience. Ø Experience with Microsoft Excel. Ø Jboss experience is highly desired. Ø Subversion or Eclipse experience is highly desired.
