Job title : Senior .NET Developer Location : Minneapolis, MN Duration : F ull-time/perm roles & responsibility As a Senior .NET Developer on our Research and Development team, you will have a direct impact on our products, leaving your mark on software applications and websites that are used worldwide. You will be a team member working on new functionality, refactoring, helping design and implement new architecture, and repairing defects. The role involves web site pages, web services, model code, interfaces to external software and integration with back end systems. This position will support the R&D Team through the following responsibilities: · Participating in all Agile meetings including pointing meetings, ticket review, tasking and budgeting · Work individually and in teams on development tasks as assigned during the sprint signup which may include o Maintenance to existing applications including defect resolution o Assistance to professional services to help resolve issues with data or code o Troubleshoot behaviors reported by internal QA resources o Create or modify web site template pages, currently using MVC o Create or modify web services according to product requirements o Create or modify integrations to 3rd party platforms which may include data integration, web service consumption or direct API calls · Help establish reasonable timelines to accomplish workload so that the team can meet its delivery objectives · Feed back to the team opportunities to improve the current code base or process · Stay abreast of current technology trends and bring salient information to the team · Write well-structured code, documented well and conformant to current developer standards · Actively participate in regular technical discussions on industry best practices and work in a collaborative manner to help continuously improve our products · Make independent decisions related to work in a matter that will improve overall performance, quality and maintainability of the code yet know when such changes need to be reviewed or approved by others when invasive or if they introduce new risk to the product · Be a mentor to the other members of the team as appropriate · Support and help the QED team with testing setup · Is able to successfully create software with a high degree of complexity and sophisitication with little direction Qualifications We're looking for someone who enjoys professional software development. The ideal candidate keeps abreast of new technology trends and plays with new things on their own time because they are passionate about creating great software.
