*Description:*



The Database Administrator will provide leadership in database design,
creation, tuning, implementation, and support of the multiple Oracle
databases to migrate to a different location. The Administrator ensures
that all databases are migrated to the new location. apply required patches
in a timely fashion, reviews major database additions or updates from the
application team, maintains a disaster recovery environment that meets or
exceeds the Recovery Time Objective, creates database backups, and
generates clones for the test environments.

It is critical this individual be able to act as a liaison in working with
management, development, infrastructure and other cross functional teams to
deliver end-to-end solutions as part of environment migration. This role
will be responsible for optimizing the storage, performance, and
availability of data for OLTP and OLAP systems; developing data
architecture and database management policies and standards; providing
senior-level consulting services in the identification and resolution of
database issues coming out of the project; serving as a high-level resource
on database management issues, and participating in the planning, design,
and usage of data resources.





*Skills:*

7+ years related experience

Demonstrated Oracle 11g experience.

Expert in Oracle database and SQL tuning.

Develops standards and automation of database deployments which includes
DDL, DML, and PL/SQL.

Documents standards for and implements database monitoring and alert
notifications.

Designs, tests, and implements database schema with high availability, load
balancing, and security capabilities on Oracle.

Recommends best practices for OS, data modeling and application teams.

Installs, configures, patches and upgrades databases and binaries.

SQL, SQL*Plus and PL/SQL development in the areas of data loading, data
migration and validation.

Conducts database stress testing, analysis and performance tuning.

Provides backup and disaster recovery standard operating procedures for the
database.

Expert in RMAN backups and clone procedures.

Demonstrated written and verbal communications skills.

Very good in Oracle E-business Suite Applications

Experience with Data Guard and partitioning.

Experience with installation, patching, and administration of Oracle
E-Business Suite Applications R12.



*Preferred Skills:*

Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent combination of education and
experience.

Experience with installation, patching, and administration of Oracle
E-Business Suite Applications (11i/R12).

Knowledge of Oracle database administration within a Linux environment.

Oracle Fusion, ODI, OBIEE application servers. Oracle Web logic server, SOA

Understanding and maintaining the technological architecture for a frame
relay/MQ/Oracle MGW connection with an external vendor.

Certified Professional DBA.
