Send me resumes at <[email protected]> Location: San Jose, Ca or RTP, NC Contract: 3+months (renewed quarterly) This Senior Web Application Developer will have high accountability and responsibility to develop the web interface; backend data storage and retrieval. Position Responsibilities: The Web Application Developer will be a member of the Engineering Cloud Services division of Engineering IT, with primary responsibility to scope, design, and implement solutions to track and reduce risk of source code data exposure to unmanaged authenticated devices. Responsibilities include aligning with stakeholders, relevant Information Security teams, and the Platform Security Architect to adhere to security, governance, design, and implementation standards. The Web Application Developer will collaborate with various teams to evaluate, propose, develop, and implement best of breed enterprise class IT solutions as required to meet defined business objectives. Additionally the Web Application Developer will serve as content knowledge expert for solutions implemented as part of the project, and produce documentation and technical collateral to aid in training and integration of related tooling and services. Web Application Developer will: 1. Collaborate with team members for code review 2. Participate in internal customer requirements gathering 3. Additional development on back end 4. Act as lead web developer and offer guidance and direction 5. Participate in Project Management meetings 6. Define proper user stories for development Experience/Skills: The ideal candidate will have technical expertise with large scale enterprise including the following: Web Application Development experience Java and Struts or any other MVC Python experience PHP experience Javascript REST API calls SQL Development Perl/Shell scripting experience Apache experience XML experience Knowledge of HTML5 Use web development software to integrate databases and other information system Essential Skills: -Architect websites, design data-driven applications, and find efficient client-server solutions. -Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Excellent customer interface skills including identifying stakeholder requirements and collaborating to define, scope, and track implementation of desired output. -Independently motivated and able to identify and complete goals, track and report on progress, deliver on schedule or strategize solutions and communicate revised milestones in response to unforeseen challenges.
