If you are not interested in this position, Please let me know if you have any friends who would be interested...... *Job Title: **Data Analyst / SQL* *Duration: **6+ Months* *Location: **Phoenix, AZ* *They don’t even need SQL Database, They need SPSS or SAS and advanced excel will be sufficient* *Job Description –* · A thorough knowledge and understanding of the technical environments as normally obtained through the completions of a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field preferred. · Have a strong background in gathering requirements and applying it to data analysis. · Extensive experience with analyzing un-cleansed data from transactional style databases (OLTP). · 4+ years experience with SQL Server, Oracle. Fluent in either T-SQL or PL/SQL. · 4+ years applied experience querying relational databases and a demonstrable ability to retrieve complex datasets from both the Oracle and SQL Server relational database management systems (RDBMS). · Exposure to Industry standard reporting tools (Crystal, SSRS, BO XI Web Intelligence, etc.). · Experience with popular ETL tools like Informatica, DTS or SQL Server Integration Services. · A practical understanding of OLTP and OLAP data modeling techniques, and a demonstrated ability to interpret Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs). · Ability to coordinate interdepartmental communication to learn about systems/data, and shape that understanding into actionable requirements. · Working knowledge of SAS, SPSS, and other Statistical Software tools. · Familiarity working with common data interchange formats. · Exposure to concepts of Scientific Method, Experimental Testing, Data Mining and Statistics are valuable attributes. · Possess oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to communicate research rationale, method, and results to the NRC researchers and other analysts, and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on teams. Possess the ability to communicate complex and technical information to persons with non-research related backgrounds. · Possesses the ability to organize work and meet deadlines across multiple projects, as well as initiative and flexibility in adapting to fast-paced work environment.
