Role: Software Developer, Manager Location: New York, NY Duration: 3+ Months Start: ASAP Interview: F2F after Phone Job Description: SCOPE OF SERVICES SMART SUPPORT Software Development Manager Work together with the Product Manager to plan and execute projects, ensure that teams have appropriate product and technical specifications, direction, and resources to deliver products effectively by establishing realistic estimates for timelines while ensuring that projects remain on target to meet deadlines · Work closely with the Product Manager and Business Analysts, for understanding the system's functional and non-functional requirements · Collaborate with the Product Management in defining the Product Vision · Oversee plans for enterprise architecture, solutions engineering, and code development functions · Oversee code-design and development principles/best practices · Demonstrate leadership abilities with the deployment of software releases, enhancements and fixes that are coordinated based on release schedules · Provide a software development plan that meets the future needs of the agency, based on state-of-the-art technologies · Coordinate release and sprint planning · Plan projects and manage the implementation · Help developers resolve technical problems · Provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead team members to their optimum performance levels MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: PLEASE CONFIRM WITH YOUR CONSULTANTS THAT THEY MEET BELOW REQUIREMENTS!!! · Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field · Minimum of 5 years of management/leadership experience in a software development organization; experience working with offshore teams strongly preferred · Must have at least 10 years of experience working through the design, development, release cycle, and delivering software products - demonstrated ability to lead and be responsible for all those tasks · A record of successful delivery of software applications as an individual, team leader and/or development manager · Strong understanding of the software development cycle · Strong leadership, project management skills, time management, and problem solving skills · Experience with managing the development of ERP systems, ideally with PeopleSoft · Experience in Java Programming and J2EE application server software development with various middleware components and the java family of products · Strong experience with web services and web-based interfaces · Strong experience with relational database systems ideally Oracle · Self-motivated, team player, action-and-results oriented · Well organized, good communication and reporting skills · Understanding of ADF, Oracle PL/SQL is helpful Ability to successfully work under tight project deadlines · Willingness and ability to dive into and take responsibility for the resolution of software development and technical issues Thanks.
