If you are not interested in this position, Please let me know if you have any friends who would be interested...... *Job Title: **Oracle DBA* *Duration: 6+* *Months * *Location:* *Sunnyvale, CA* *Job Description:* · Oracle DBA · (Production, 10g/11g, data guard, RAC, grid control) · Database team is looking for an experienced, energetic, proactive and highly motivated individual to be part of database Team. · In this position, you will be responsible for designing, planning, coordinating, and administering Oracle databases in production and development environments. *Responsibilities: * · Install, configure, upgrade and support production and development databases · Provide day-to-day (24/7) databases support for users & application teams · Loading data into Oracle databases from files · Implementing database backup and restorations · Trouble shooting and making recommendations to database performance issues · Writing SQL, PL/SQL programs, Shell scripts and Perl programs · Working with Application teams in designing schemas, tuning SQL and improving application logic · Responsible for writing database-monitoring scripts, coming with best practices · Monitoring CPU, Memory usage, IO and other OS stats in tuning the databases · use proactive approach to identify and improve databases performance · Experimenting and implementing oracle new feature · Migrating/upgrading databases and applying Oracle patches · Able and willing to be flexible in Adapting to new technologies, processes and standards *Required Skills: * · 3+ years of Production Oracle database work experience with larger than 500+ GB in size with good understanding of oracle RDBMS concepts and overall architecture · Must have 2+ years of Oracle 10g/11g experience (Oracle 10g/11g RAC experience is highly desirable) · · Experience with Oracle 10g/11g grid control/Enterprise Manager · Must have experience with Oracle Data guard/standby · Must have 2+ years of coding experience in SQL, PL/SQL, and Unix Shell Scripting · Experience with Oracle Partitioning, RMAN, AWR/Stats pack, SQL*Loader · Experience with Net App filers and/or other storage systems · Strong understanding of database replication concepts, i.e. Data Guard, multi-master replication, streams · Proven shell and Perl scripting · Experience in high-volume and high availability databases · Demonstrated proficiency of troubleshooting techniques and detail-oriented problem diagnosis · Ability to analyze and resolve issues · Experience in deploying database changes for new database releases with minimal downtime · Basic Knowledge of Linux Operating system administration · Some experience in other database technologies like My SQL will be plus · Approximately 2-3 years of experience. · Certification in 10g/11g OCP is a plus · Work with minimal guidance as individual and team player Thanks AND Regards Katie *Business Development Manager | Infovisia, Inc. | **ka...@infovisia.com*<r...@infovisia.com>* | *Phone : (312)544-0126 | Fax: 866-452-2859 http://www.infovisia.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Citrix and Sap problems" group.
