*Please send resume to s...@cncconsulting.com <s...@cncconsulting.com> * Job Title: SAN/NetBackup Administrator Location: NYC, NY Duration: 12 Months Direct Client Position SCOPE OF SERVICES The Storage/Backup engineers will execute technical discovery attaining objectives of deploying a comprehensive encryption solution, upgrade of the Master Server to handle multiple datacenters and failover during a disaster. Design, and deployment activities for: City Agency stakeholders, document asset inventory, technical requirements and architecture designs, provide deployment and technical issue resolution. The Storage/backup engineer’s functions will also include: • Conducting assessments and documentation of technical requirements, architecture designs, and configuration request forms. • Working closely with DoITT’s Technical architecture and external agency teams as well as service owner business owner stakeholders to ensure efficient design and provisioning of service offerings (Storage, Backup and Recovery) to align with a broad array of hosting requirements. • Developing solution designs for efficient use of storage options, system recovery and migration efforts. • Providing technical expertise and perform tasks for all related citywide infrastructure projects, including second site B. • Architecting and design solutions in a multi-tenant environment. Mandatory Skill/Expertise Minimum 4 years of experience: Senior Level Technical Administrative in at least one operating system. Minimum 4 years of experience: Senior Level Technical Administration for Netbackup 7.1 or higher. Understanding of Backup and Recovery processes and procedures. Senior level of understanding of data encryption, data deduplication, and data lifecycle management. Desirable Skill/Expertise Senior Level Technical Administration for Linux, VMware, Windows and Solaris. Understanding of Data Domain dedupe devices. SAN / NAS administration and design.
