Role : Data Modeler Location : San Ramon, CA Duration :6 months+ Responsibilities: * Analyzes and develops detailed logical and physical database designs, logical and physical data models and relational data base definitions for the enterprise data environment. * Partners directly with the Data Architect, clients, ETL developers, other technical data warehouse team members and database administrators to design and develop high performing databases and maintain consistent data element definitions * Analyzes and designs logical and physical data models and relational data base definition' * Provides data element naming consistent with standards and conventions and ensures that data dictionaries are maintained across database environments. * Consults with database administration and client areas in resolving questions during the translation of data requirements to a physical database design. * Provides in-depth identification and resolution of information flow and content issues. * Participates in the development and maintenance of overall data architecture, data management standards and conventions, data dictionaries and data element naming standards and conventions for multiple computing environments to support data warehousing. * Works to ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and maintainability of the information products. Required Skills: * BS degree in Exact Area: Systems Analysis, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Systems * 5 to 7 years' experience in a data architect role with deep knowledge of Enterprise Data Architecture concepts * Five years of experience working in core banking systems in a financial institution Familiarity with Retail and Commercial banking, Mortgage and Dealer lending concepts desired * Experience with Development Methodologies, Databases Platforms , Oracle/ SQLServer * Expertise in Data Modeling tools (ERWin/Model Manager) * Expertise in Relational Data Models (conceptual, logical and physical data models), Dimensional Data Models, Data Dictionary and Metadata * Project management skills are a plus Thanks.
