They are a lead designer responsible for conceptualizing and creating new user interface designs and user experiences. The Senior UI Designer creates a variety of visual application assets for delivery targets such as Web, Android, iOS, Windows and OSX. They work closely with Director of Product Design, Developers, Product Management, and Project Management teams to create a superior user experience for our products and also lead projects as necessary. · *Duties, Responsibilities* *Percent* Design and develop detailed UI designs for mobile and web software products. Develop product designs and wireframes for user interface to the product. 50 Product Requirements -- Collaborate with product managers, designers and software developers to define, design, and deliver new software products. Work closely with engineering to ensure the successful execution of user interface designs and the preservation of the original design intent in the final product. 15 Create visual prototypes and screens that will be used to explain user experiences and application flow to developers and project stakeholders. 10 Project Planning and Management -- Develop level-of-effort estimates for design projects to project management teams. Communicate and report UI project progress to others per defined business processes. 10 Create and maintain guidelines for visual assets and application brand. 5 Product Research and Planning -- Collaborate with competitive analysis teams on user research to support user-experience based evaluation of competitor products. Keep abreast of mobile technologies and latest technology trends in all areas of UI expertise, including best practice for mobile and browser platforms. 5 Contribute to the development of product roadmaps spec books and internal documents with the product management teams. 5 *Indicate frequency for each activity – N *(None),* R *(Rarely),* O * (Occasionally),* or F *(Frequently) *Frequency* *Attendance* – regular, predictable, and reliable F *Computer* *Usage* – including keyboarding, repetitive motion, and/or eye strain F *Computer* *Usage* – requiring proficiency with multiple systems and/or screens simultaneously F *Hearing* F *On-Call Support* – including 24x7 coverage, participation in on-call rotation, and/or carrying a cellular phone or laptop R *Overtime* – over 40 hours per week, and/or outside of normally scheduled hours as required by client, project, and/or workload (e.g., evenings, weekends, and/or holidays) O · *Education and Experience Qualifications * *Minimum: * · Bachelor’s degree (BS/BE) with focus on user interface/interaction design, mobile design or information design, or a related field (equivalent experience is acceptable in lieu of degree) · 6 years of user interface design experience for mobile applications (Apple iOS and/or Android), desktop and web applications · Online portfolio with a range of user-centric UI designs · Strong experience in application user interface design and interactive applications · Experience designing wireframes · Previous Sr. UI Designer experience at a company or interactive agency *Preferred: * · Prior experience developing and delivering global products highly desirable · Prior experience developing UI designs for telecommunications, web conferencing or video products is highly desired · Experience developing multi-language, regionalized (international) UI design is highly desired. · *Skills and Competencies* · Expert knowledge of Adobe creative tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and Fireworks required.
