The manager doesn't want anyone focused in middle-tier or front-end applications. *JOB DESCRIPTION* Looking for a talented Senior Application who is experienced working in the mid/backend performing tasks such as extracting data from a batch, manipulating the data, and pushing data into new databases. This is a long term contract working in the Seattle area for a vastly growing company in the banking/finance industry. *Responsibilities:* • Work as part of a dynamic team throughout the software development life cycle • Collaborate with designers and analysts to implement enhancements or new applications • Develop code to meet story acceptance criteria • Conduct design and code review to ensure compliance with standards • Estimate level of effort to develop code to meet acceptance criteria • Ensure adherence to continuous improvement practices as required to meet quality / time to market imperatives • Maintain records to document program development and revisions • Provide 3rd level support of software solution as needed • Share best practices and improve processes within and across sprint teams, and mentor more junior developers *Preferred Qualifications:* • Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field, or relevant experience. • Extensive database development experience with emphasis on data modeling, schema, stored procedure and trigger design and construction in a T-SQL environment. • Expertise in Java (J2SE) and/or C# application development. • Experience with test-driven development or unit testing a plus. • Experience working in an Agile development environment. • Experience with highly transactional systems a plus. • Proven track record of delivering quality deliverables. • Strong communication and organizational skills.
